<p>Benvenuto Cellini is one of the most celebrated Italian artists since Michaelangelo. His reputation is most noted for his many facets of being an artist, such as a fine goldsmith, distinguished sculptor and painter, musician and soldier. His biography begins when he is 58 years old and was intended to show his life and art, but it ends up being intertwined with his struggles and triumphs of being actively engaged in war. He is more widely known for his autobiography because of his vivid and convincing portrayal of the 16th century times – with particular reference to the morals and manners of the rulers of the time. Having served under several royalties, from dukes to bishops, cardinals, 2 popes, kings and queens of several nations he made friends and enemies of every level of society. This book reflects an unrivaled personal glimpse of palaces and prisons of Italy and the Medici. Cellini is quite honest in his autobiography for he confesses to innumerable fights, several murders that he commited, at least one rape, and a notorious prison-break. Cellini, a fanatic and an individualist, is one of the Renaissances’ key players. (In this particular edition George Bull revisions.)</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Benvenuto Cellii was born on November 3,1500 and died on February 13, 1571. He was an Italian sculptor and artist of the Renaissance period. He had a wild persona and was considered a fanatic and an individualist.  <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0140447180?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=celebfeuds-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=0140447180" target="_blank">SEE THIS BOOK ON SALE</a></p>
