First published in 1903, “The Story of My Life” is the autobiography book of Helen Keller. This inspirational book contains the life story of a remarkable woman and her journey as she dealt with life’s challenges and wonders. The book was written when Keller was 22 years old and was still studying at Radcliffe College. In this autobiography book, she details the first 22 years of her life. Here, Keller discussed the life that she remembered starting from the time when she was a toddler before she became a deafblind person up until her current status as a college student at that time. Keller talked about how she overcame her disabilities which she got due to an illness when she was only 19 months old. Despite her deafness and blindness, Keller faced the world through the help of her beloved teacher and companion of 49 years, Anne Sullivan.

Helen Adams Keller was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She graduated from Radcliffe College and was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree. When Keller was 19 months old, she got an illness which led to her blindness and deafness. However, she did not let her disabilities hinder her from learning and experiencing what the world has to offer. When Keller was six years old, Anne Sullivan came to the Kellers’ home to become Keller’s teacher and eventually her lifelong companion. Sullivan played a great and important role in Keller’s life. She was very much dedicated and was responsible for Keller’s improvement with communication which sooner led to Keller’s knowledge about the world around her. Keller was involved in many causes such as women’s suffrage, workers’ rights, and socialism. She has also authored 12 published books and several articles. Keller’s life have been translated in films, plays and documentaries for several times. SEE THIS BOOK ON SALE

Michael Lewis wrote about the famous sport by means of discussing the offensive football strategy and the rise of the importance of the left tackle. In his book, Lewis talked about Michael Jerome Oher; an offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens who can be considered as an athlete with a very promising career. Lewis recounted the life of this young American football player from his early beginnings as one of the twelve children of his biological mother who suffered from drug addiction up to the time when he played for his college’s football team with the help of his adoptive parents. Apart from the author’s take on football and it’s system, “The Blind Side” contains a human interest story which readers can learn from in this autobiography book. The book has been adapted for the 2009 film The Blind Side.

Michael Jerome Oher was born on May 26, 1986 in Memphis, Tennessee. Formerly Michael Jerome Williams, Jr., Oher was adopted by Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy. He plays as an offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. Before his adoption, Oher lived a difficult life. His mother was addicted to drugs even when she was pregnant with Oher which resulted to Oher having little guidance throughout his adolescent years. He also had trouble with his grades in school especially during the first and second grades which he kept on repeating. Even before he was 16, Oher lived in foster homes and also experienced becoming homeless. Oher and his adoptive parents met at Oher’s high school – Briarcrest Christian School where the Touhy couple’s son and daughter also studied. Oher received numerous awards and recognitions during his college years playing for the Ole Miss Rebels at the University of Mississippi. In 2009, he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens and was the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. SEE THIS BOOK ON SALE

It is written in an oral history style rather than the usual autobiography book. Put together by New York Times Best-Selling author and sports journalist Don Yaeger, the book’s contents are from Payton’s interviews accompanied by stories from Payton’s family and dear friends since Payton passed away even before the book was finished. In this autobiography book, Payton’s early life and his career with the Chicago Bears was discussed. The book also talked about his philanthropy, the affection he felt for his fans, his love for his family, the work that he did, and how he bravely battled the rare liver disease which caused his death at a young age. Payton’s autobiography is a must-read for any football fan as well as for anyone who wants to have an inspirational read.

Payton suffered from primary sclerosing cholangitis, a rare liver disease, for several months which later on claimed his life. SEE THIS BOOK ON SALE

In this autobiography book by the late President of the United States, he wrote about his ideas on the philosophy on life, the outdoors, and of course about his presidency. Here, President Roosevelt expressed his opinions numerous subjects regarding politics such as conservation, international affairs and trust busting. The book is quite an unconventional autobiographical book. For the first part of it, it was written chronologically while the second part was written based on certain themes. Even if President Roosevelt did not write much about his personal life, like not mentioning his wife Alice Hathaway Lee, this book still gives its readers a look into the mind of this legendary man. This autobiography book is a must read for any who enjoys history and insights into great men.

The 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, is considered as one of the greatest U.S. Presidents. Even before becoming a president, Roosevelt had held several positions in politics. At age 42, Roosevelt became the youngest president in US history. He was remembered not only for his accomplishments as a public servant but also for his other achievements such as being a naturalist, explorer, hunter, author, and soldier. Roosevelt suffered a great loss with the death of his wife Alice which caused him to not include her in his autobiography. He has one child with Alice named Alice as well. Roosevelt remarried and had 5 more children with his second wife Edith Kermit Carow. President Roosevelt was also known for being the reason behind the name of stuffed bears or teddy bears. Roosevelt is one of the four presidents who is included in the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. SEE THIS BOOK ON SALE

President Reagan wrote in his diary every night since he seated in office during his two terms. He always wrote diary entries daily except for the time that he was hospitalized due to an assassination attempt. This autobiography book contains his thoughts on politics as well as personal matters. He expressed his feelings towards his wife Nancy Reagan and his family and spoke fondly of his other half. Reagan discussed about his relationships with leaders of different sectors like politics and the religious sects. In his diaries, Reagan did not only describe his take on politics like the Cold War, people he worked with and the decisions that he made; but also simple things that he did daily. He also talked about his faith in God despite not regularly going to church. “The Reagan Diaries” allows its readers to see the inner thoughts of this great American leader.

Ronald Wilson Reagan was born on February 6, 1911. He was the 40th President of the United States. Reagan served two terms in office, first in 1981 to 1985 and the second in 1985 to 1989 which was a landslide. However, it wasn’t all win for Reagan. In 1868 and 1976, Reagan lost in his run for the Republican presidential nomination. It was on 1980 that he won the nomination. President Reagan’s policies in economics were referred to as Reaganomics which were basically centered on lower taxes and a smaller government. Prior to becoming the President, Ronald Reagan was the 33rd Governor of California. He served from 1967 to 1975. Before Reagan started his political career, he was in the entertainment business first. He was a talent in different radio stations, a television and movie actor as well as a former president of the Screen Actors Guild. Reagan was married twice, the first with actress Jane Wyman with whom he had 3 children (one of them was adopted) and the second with actress Nancy Davis with whom he had 2 children. SEE THIS BOOK ON SALE
