Written by Charles Darwin in 1876, his book The Autobiography of Charles Darwin: 1809-1882 gives its readers a grasp of the life of one of the world’s greatest scientists. In this book, Darwin shared his intellect once more. He imparted his take on plenty of things in life such as religion, his love for his family, his passion for nature and his studies. The book contains several anecdotes regarding Darwin’s family as well as the other famous people that he had been acquainted with and had the chance to work with. Darwin’s autobiography allows it readers to see Darwin as more than just a scientist but as a man who not only loved to study about the diversity of life but someone who valued his family and friends.

Charles Robert Darwin was an English naturalist who is known for his theory of evolution. This theory was from his study that all species came from common ancestors which eventually was called natural selection. In 1831, Charles Darwin embarked on the Beagle Voyage which enabled him to study more about geology. Darwin’s works, researches and studies are very essential in the field of science. His discovery on the evolution of all species is significant in the explanation regarding the diversity of life. Aside from Darwin’s dedication to his work, he is also a devoted father and husband.
