The Autobiography of Mark Twain book is the last work that the famous American author had written. The book was done by Twain on his deathbed. He originally planned to have the book published in non-sequential order to make it more entertaining, however, some archivists and compilers decided to rearrange it. In his autobiography, Twain explained that since he would be gone by the time the readers could get a copy of the book, he would speak his mind freely and frankly. The book discusses Twain’s life by telling anecdotes. Twain revealed his private life. He recounted different highs and lows in his life which consequently made him express his emotions. Even in his last work, Twain’s intelligence and greatness in writing were exhibited.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known for his pen name Mark Twain, was an American author. He has written a vast number of novels during his lifetime. Among his great works are Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. His novel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has been recognized as one of the Great American Novels since it was able to represent the life in the United States during its time of writing. Mark Twain was famous for his wit and satire which were present in his works. However, there were numerous times when his works were censored because of different reasons like the use of nigger in Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
